Lip Blushing
Lip blushing is a semi-permanent cosmetic procedure that involves the application of pigment to the lips. Lip blushing is a safe and non-invasive way to achieve a fuller pout and a long-lasting colour. Bold and vibrant colours are recommended to withstand the fading effect expected throughout the healing stages. Virgin lips will need at least 2 sessions to build up the desired colour tint and 3 sessions for a matt lipstick effect.
Lip Neutralisation
This type of lip tattooing involves the process of lightening dark lip tissue, typically on Fitzpatrick skin types 4-6. The term "Neutralisation" refers to a complementary relationship between colours aimed at transforming a darker value lip into a lighter, brighter version. Alternatively, it neutralises the dark lip to create a neutral base for future work, providing more colour options. This is the same process as Lip Blushing but more than 2 sessions will be required with longer healing times.

We will select a pigment that is flattering for your complexion and existing lip colour. You are welcome to suggest a shade or bring in your favourite lip pencil for us to match. A sample of the colour is provided for you to approve before we begin. Please note that colour theory can be complicated and some modifiers may need to be used to correct your natural lip tone first.

A lip tattoo heals very quickly as the mouth is one of the fastest healing body parts. There is no downtime for a lip tattoo apart from some temporary swelling. This should subside over 8 hours or sooner with a cold press. On the second and third days, you may experience some chapping and dryness. Keeping well hydrated and the lips moisturised will help this.

You can still have your lips tattooed if you suffer from Cold Sores but they cannot be in the active state. If you suffer from Cold Sores (even if it was one 20 years ago!) you MUST take anti-viral medication to avoid a breakout. This medication is available over the counter from a pharmacy. If you frequently suffer from Cold Sores we recommend visiting your GP for prescription anti-viral medication which is much more effectiive

Lip Tattoo and Lip Fillers work well together but the two procedures must be done a minimum of 6 weeks apart. If you already have filler that is okay, we can still tattoo your lips but your results will be lighter. We suggest getting the lip tattoo first.

All cosmetic tattooing involves a TWO-STEP PROCESS to gradually and safely build up pigment without overworking or oversaturating the skin. This process is essential for your original artist to evaluate color absorption, correcting any damage or excessive fading during the healing stage. The perfection visit is vital for your artist to understand how your skin responds to the treatment, providing crucial insights for future sessions..

Each artist operates independently, and as such, the touch-up rate is applicable solely to clients seeking a brow touch-up from the original artist. Imagine hiring a new painter to apply the second coat to your house without having done the first coat. The unfamiliarity with the previous work, including which walls were painted and the specific color used, makes it challenging to assess the results accurately and complete the job. The new painted never got the initial brief. Similarly, if your artist resigns from OMB, it is not reasonable to expect another artist to provide a discounted rate. In such a scenario, you have the option to follow your artist to their new salon or choose a new artist altogether.
